Legal Manager

Summary

Join Bitso's dynamic legal team in Brazil as a Legal Manager, supporting operations with a focus on regulatory strategy and product advisory licensing in the crypto and fintech landscape. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex regulatory frameworks, advising cross-functional teams, and engaging with regulators. This role involves providing strategic legal and regulatory advice on new and existing products, monitoring regulatory developments, supporting licensing processes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure legal compliance. You will also draft and negotiate contracts, engage with regulatory bodies, and contribute to internal training and risk assessments. Requirements

• Law degree and bar admission in Brazil
• 4-7 years of experience in a top law firm, fintech, crypto company, or financial institution
• Solid understanding of financial services, payments, or crypto regulation
• Experience working with or advising on product development and go-to-market strategies
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical, business-oriented guidance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across legal and non-legal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal and regulatory advice on new and existing products, especially in the areas of crypto-assets, payments, brokerage, and digital financial services
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in key markets (e.g., Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina), assessing their impact on business operations and product design
• Support licensing, registration, and regulatory approval processes in Brazil
• Collaborate with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Policy teams to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and internal governance documents
• Support engagement with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and public policy initiatives
• Contribute to internal training, knowledge sharing, and risk assessments

Preferred Qualifications

Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
