Join Finalis' rapidly growing team as a Legal Operations Associate, working directly with the Associate General Counsel. You will play a crucial role in upholding legal procedures, facilitating communication across teams, managing legal documents, and leading negotiations. This role requires a proactive approach, ensuring regulatory compliance and escalating issues as needed. You will contribute to process improvement and support the contract lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in a relevant field, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information efficiently. Requirements

  • Have exceptional written and spoken English
  • Have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience as an attorney
  • Have experience working at a broker dealer or financial institution; and are familiar with applicable regulations such as FINRA rules
  • Have Google Workspace experience
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Can handle confidential information
  • Have the ability to work swiftly with a high sense of urgency and be comfortable with shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Be a self-starter, quick learner and highly organized with attention to detail
  • Have the ability to follow up; know what's going on at all times and respond quickly
  • Be flexible, patient, persistent and have a team spirit attitude

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and meticulously follow the legal team’s established procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate and coordinate conversations across different teams, including Customer Success and Compliance, to ensure legal and regulatory alignment
  • Review, revise, and manage legal agreements and engagement letters, ensuring they meet internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with legal frameworks
  • Proactively escalate matters that deviate from policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and documentation
  • Providing support with the lifecycle of contracts and templates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience using CRM, CLM, Jira, and/or Excel
  • Have Compliance experience
