Join Harbor's growing team as a Legal Technology Consultant specializing in Corporate CLM and eDiscovery. You will be part of the Corporate Legal Technology (CLT) group, supporting Fortune 500 clients. This role involves designing, configuring, and implementing legal technology solutions, focusing on CLM, ELM, and eDiscovery. You will work directly with client legal and IT teams, ensuring seamless data transitions and high-quality support. The position blends system design, data analysis, and project management. While Chicago and Houston are preferred locations, remote work may be considered.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in technology consulting with an emphasis in client-facing roles with technical fluency
- Experience performing data migration, developing SQL queries, conducting data analysis, and working with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, and Business Objects, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Four-year undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Legal Studies, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education
- Demonstrated knowledge of the following areas: Legal technology and related software, including CLM, ELM, and eDiscovery tools
- Business requirements gathering, data mapping, and workflow documentation
- Legal department and litigation management processes
- Data migration processes and data load file formatting
- Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent engagements and clients, ensuring timely and quality-driven deliverables
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas and insights through data and polished client deliverables
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to high standards for work product
- Willingness to self-study, adapt to changing industry trends, and learn new concepts or technologies to solve client challenges
- Aptitude and desire to learn and develop generative or other AI-enabled solutions in the legal technology space
- Permanent U.S. work authorization required
Responsibilities
- Support the configuration and deployment of CLM, ELM, and eDiscovery solutions by gathering requirements, assisting in data mapping, and collaborating on workflow and system setup to meet client specifications
- Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy throughout the migration process; support the team by analyzing data requirements, identifying key fields, and providing insights for optimized data workflows
- Assist in project coordination to ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards; maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, supporting strong relationships and delivering high-quality project outcomes
- Assist in the creation of deliverables for CLM, ELM, and eDiscovery projects, supporting the team through project planning, setup, and implementation phases
- Participate in client interviews, workshops, and presentations to gather and document business requirements, migration needs, and project specifications
- Support the mapping of business requirements to system capabilities and data fields, identifying gaps and helping configure custom solutions aligned with client objectives
- Document and maintain project materials, including conversion plans, design documents, and error logs, to ensure clear and comprehensive records
- Work closely with the project team to analyze client data, identifying key fields, workflows, and mapping requirements for successful migration
- Perform data validation and quality checks during migration activities to maintain data integrity and compliance with project standards
- Contribute to data analysis efforts by supporting data migration strategies and optimizing workflows to align with client requirements
- Document migration processes with detailed data mapping guidelines, quality control checklists, and error resolution protocols, ensuring a smooth data transition
- Assist in project coordination to maintain alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards for CLM, ELM, and eDiscovery projects
- Contribute to high-quality client communication by providing regular updates, assisting with issue tracking, and supporting client expectations
- Help develop and execute test scripts for user acceptance testing (UAT), collaborating with clients to address and resolve migration issues
- Conduct research on industry trends to inform project strategies, adding value to client engagements with relevant best practices
- Support the teamβs business development efforts by assisting with proposals, presentation materials, and development of work plans
Preferred Qualifications
Chicago and Houston location preferred, but open to remote work
