Summary
Join Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) as a Life New Business Specialist I and serve as a proactive liaison between producers, uplines, and various departments to resolve new business and customer service issues related to applications. You will be responsible for processing and managing life insurance applications from submission to issuance, resolving open issues, and achieving defined performance metrics. This role requires researching documents, keeping producers updated, resolving sales/operational inquiries, and adhering to company policies. The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry and a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Successful completion of LOMA or CLU coursework is preferred. F&G offers a flexible work environment with in-office, hybrid, and remote work arrangements.
Requirements
- Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
- 2+ years of experience working in the insurance or financial services industry
- Demonstrates basic understanding of how F&G is structured and the products / service offerings within respective coverage area

Responsibilities
- Process and manage Life New Business applications from submission to issuance
- Serve as the primary owner for resolving any open issues for a submitted life application
- Achieve required phone and transaction performance as defined for the Life New Business Specialist I
- Research and track documents to resolve service issues with emphasis on a designated function
- Proactively keep producers and uplines up-to-date on product and processing guidelines
- Resolve problems & guide producers in software usage and web initiatives
- Resolve moderate sales/operational needs/inquiries as pertains to product clarification, pending new business, supply needs, illustrations, and marketing administration
- Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding sales and product compliance
- Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
Preferred Qualifications
- AA or BA degree preferred
- Experience working in a service center, sales support team and/or other previous industry experience preferred
- Successful completion of Life insurance related education such as LOMA or CLU coursework preferred
