Join ElevenLabs, a pioneering voice technology company, as their experienced Litigation & Regulatory Counsel. This remote role, based in the US with optional New York office space, involves leading and supporting litigation matters and regulatory investigations, particularly in the novel AI space. You will manage all stages of lawsuits and investigations, identify and address legal risks, support compliance, develop expertise in AI-related law, and contribute to scaling the litigation function. The ideal candidate possesses a JD, 7+ years of litigation experience, and expertise in AI legal issues. Requirements

• JD with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (New York preferred)
• 7+ years of litigation and investigations knowledge and skills, developed in law firm, in-house, and/or government roles
• Experience with the unique legal issues faced by AI and other emerging tech companies
• Proven track record of managing complex litigation matters
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to support cross-functional teams, as well as to engage with external partners

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company lead on litigation and regulatory matters, working across ElevenLabs and with outside counsel to manage all stages of lawsuits and investigations, including: retaining outside counsel; formulating strategy; marshalling facts internally; overseeing e-discovery and broader discovery processes; drafting and editing written advocacy; and preparing outside counsel for court appearances
• Identify and address legal risks associated with our advanced technologies, and work cross-functionally to implement effective risk mitigation strategies
• Support the Legal Team’s compliance function, helping ensure that the company remains abreast of and compliant with legal obligations, both in the U.S. and broad
• Develop and apply deep expertise in the evolving landscape of case law, statutes, and regulations that impact generative AI companies
• Contribute actively to the Legal Team’s efforts to scale our litigation function, while fostering a collaborative and supportive culture
