Summary

Join Wealthfront's growing team as a licensed mortgage loan originator. Leverage your expertise to serve existing Wealthfront clients, guiding them through the mortgage process using innovative technology. You will build rapport with clients and agents, utilize technology to streamline the mortgage process, provide exceptional client service, and meet sales goals. Compliance with federal and state regulations is crucial. The position requires a strong understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mortgage origination experience
  • Mortgage Loan Originator License
  • Strong knowledge of Conventional Conforming and Jumbo guidelines
  • Solid understanding of state and federal lending regulations
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices

Responsibilities

  • Build rapport with clients to ensure we are identifying the solution that meets their needs
  • Build rapport with buyer and seller agents to increase company market presence and ensure we are meeting local market demands and nuances
  • Use technology to guide clients in obtaining mortgages by answering their questions, collecting necessary documents and verifying information
  • Provide exceptional client service while advising on the purchase or refinance process
  • Respond to potential inquiries from company-generated prospects
  • Achieve or exceed sales goals and objectives
  • Work closely with operations, compliance and technology teams to optimize the loan application and workflow
  • Ensure that all loans originate in full compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Adopts Company values in work behaviors, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer-focused, business-centric, and team-oriented mindset; relentlessly passionate about finding and completing valuable work
  • Strong working knowledge of state-specific licensing and registration requirements and use of the NMLS. Strong working knowledge of Federal and state regulations including TRID and HMDA
  • Deep understanding of mortgage loan products and underwriting guidelines
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines in a high paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence positive outcomes at all levels of an organization
  • Intellectually curious and interested in applying technology to enhance business processes
  • Prior experience in wholesale and/or correspondent channels
  • Excellent communication skills focusing on both internal and external communications
  • Openness to adapting to industry changes
