Summary

Join our team as a remote Coding Services Manager! You will manage coding projects, staff, and contribute to client retention and business growth. Responsibilities include managing client expectations, allocating resources, maintaining coding standards, researching regulations, and supervising staff. You will need extensive coding, auditing, and mentoring experience, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in coding
  • Minimum of 3 years mentoring staff
  • Extensive auditing experience in multiple specialties
  • Extensive knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS and other national coding and compliance guidelines (billing, auditing, compliance and reimbursement for physician practices and facilities: CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10- CM, ICD-10-PCS
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact effectively with physicians, management, and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and deadline driven attitude
  • Critical thinking ability to determine best methods for completing tasks
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Certification requirements: RHIT or RHIA
  • CPC, CIC, COC, CCS, CCS-P

Responsibilities

  • Manage client needs and expectations to ensure project scope, requirements and deliverables are developed appropriately with clients for coding service offerings
  • Responsible for coordinating the allocation and assignment of resources to ensure client projects are delivered on time, on budget and that client expectations are exceeded
  • Responsible for maintaining department coding standards, protocols, and guidelines
  • Research regulatory guidelines
  • Manage coding staff to ensure smooth operations of daily activities and that productivity and quality standards are being met
  • Regularly monitor performance and provide feedback and coaching to direct reports
