Summary

Join Crosslake's team of practitioners as a Business and Financial Analyst to enhance analytical capabilities and enrich deliverables with quantified evidence of financial and operating performance. This integral role involves working on client engagements, interacting with various teams and clients, and analyzing P&L statements, revenue composition, organizational structure, and key performance indicators. You will develop presentations, collaborate with team members, identify new analytical opportunities, and participate in recruiting. The ideal candidate possesses expert Excel skills, a strong analytical mindset, and experience in the software industry. A degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience are required.

Requirements

  • Strong Analytical mindset
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions
  • Comfortable presenting data and insights in a clear, structured way for different audiences
  • The ability to build Powerpoint charts/stories to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of software industry and financials and operations of a software company
  • A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience with software / tech company (finance, operations or R&D functions) or consulting firm
  • Team management experience

Responsibilities

  • Analyze P&L and other financial statements to evaluate Companies spend on R&D, hosting, labor
  • Analyze revenue composition and trends, and margin trends
  • Analyze org structure and census to profile the organization by roles, geo footprint, compensation, tenure, attrition
  • Analyze key performance indicators and metrics related to key processes for a software / tech company – such as product development predictability, productivity, quality
  • Perform relevant benchmarking for categories above
  • Participate in sessions with clients to request the necessary data and conduct necessary interviews
  • Develop presentations depicting the analysis results
  • Collaborate with other team members to integrate the analysis into the overall deliverables
  • Identify and design new value-added types of quantified analytics relevant to Crosslake’s core services
  • Identify and develop new sources for benchmarking
  • Collaborate with project Leads and Managing Directors on scoping and estimating the more complicated / bespoke analytical scenarios
  • Oversee and coordinate practitioners’ assignment to projects
  • Act as a “safety” net for issues resolution
  • Participate in the recruiting process for new team members
