Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of IT Asset Management, Software Licensing Understanding of Tiered Access \ Enterprise access model High level understanding of the unique requirements of the organisation
  • Working knowledge of finance management practices eg: Budgets forecasts, etc
  • 5+ years’ experience in areas of knowledge of Infrastructure, cloud platforms and security technologies Demonstrated experience in managing diverse people and teams
  • 5+ years of financial management, contract and vendor management
  • Ability to manage complex and technical issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors
  • Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining best outcomes
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
  • Prevents erroneous decisions to avoid critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations that may jeopardise overall business activities
  • Ability to frequently interact and network with subordinates, supervisors and functional peer groups
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and align them with client business goals and objectives
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong influencing and persuasive ability
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels

Responsibilities

  • Manage the software support function, including incident resolution, request fulfilment, and escalations across business-critical applications
  • Collaborate with application owners, vendors, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely patching, upgrades, and lifecycle transitions
  • Monitor and report on software performance, usage, and support metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure IT asset and software support practices meet internal audit, compliance, and risk management standards
  • Lead internal reviews and external audits related to licensing and asset controls
  • Maintain documentation and evidence for all key processes and controls
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT asset analysts and software support specialists
  • Act as the primary liaison with vendors, procurement, finance, and business units for all asset and software-related matters
  • Provide input into technology planning, budgeting, and transformation initiatives
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of hardware and software assets across Datacom internal ensuring compliance with licensing, regulatory, and financial requirements
  • Ensure and maintain robust Asset Management in line with frameworks, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure and manage asset discovery, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation processes using ITAM tools and CMDB integrations
  • Drive optimization of software licensing, renewals, and vendor engagements to reduce cost and risk
  • Ensure alignment of asset management practices with cybersecurity, procurement, and finance teams
  • Identify the funding needed for enhancements, and preparing, or arranging for the preparation of, reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Collaborate with Datacom teams that support customers and ensure alignment with technologies, processes and agreed standards and or best practices
  • Leverage internal Datacom capabilities, services, documentation as far as possible where it makes sense and leads to better outcomes for Datacom in line with the strategic direction
  • Collaborate with Architects, Security teams, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with technologies, processes and agreed standards, to contribute to the definition of Datacom best practices
  • Support, contribute an advocate for best process, community of practices, standards uplift and assist different teams in developing policies and standards for Datacom’s internal, shared and customer operating environments
  • Promote awareness of security policies, procedures, and standards Manage Vendor and suppliers’ relationships that support and advance the ambit of Infrastructure, cloud, platform, and security technologies
  • Assessing future requirements and the changing landscape is understood, and the potential changes are captured in budgets, roadmaps, etc
