Summary

Join SilverRail Technologies as their Manager of Financial Control and contribute to reshaping global travel. Based in the UK, you'll manage reporting requirements, partner with teams across global offices (Boston, Brisbane, Stockholm), and report to the Director of Financial Control. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic and operational directions during a key growth phase. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage accounts payable, and contribute to cash forecasting and treasury management. Requirements

  • Educated to graduate or post graduate level
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified essential – would suit a recently qualified individual
  • Intermediate to Expert in Excel

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the Director of Financial Control to complete month-end reporting requirements; this will include determining accounting entries for the month, preparing the consolidated accounts, preparing and reviewing key balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaise with our outsourcing partners in the UK, US and Australia who manage our bookkeeping to ensure all entries are included each month
  • Manage the Accounts Payable function and general accounting for 3 entities, based in the UK, US and Australia
  • Responsible for cash forecasting and working with the Director of Financial Control on Treasury Management
  • Assist in management of local audits and tax filings
  • Maintenance of the accounting system including report building and setting up new GL codes
  • Opportunities to lead on strategic projects as the business continues to grow, including the upgrading of our accounting system scheduled for Q3/Q4

Preferred Qualifications

  • UK, IFRS or US GAAP knowledge preferred
  • Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics Navision 2015 or Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous
  • Knowledge/experience of rail industry useful but not essential
  • Ideally, we’re looking for someone with a mix of practice accounting and private company experience
