Manager, Product Management

Summary

Join Granicus as a Manager, Product Management, and lead product owners across four geographically hybrid scrum teams. Execute against a govDelivery roadmap central to Granicus's 2025 platform innovation strategy. Support a team of engineers, product owners, and designers throughout the product lifecycle. Design systems and processes to facilitate effective team delivery. Gather business requirements, build the product vision, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on that vision. This role requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Alien status due to the government-related nature of the work. The position is open to candidates residing in the US Eastern (EST) or Central (CST) time zones only.

Requirements

• Experience leading Product Owners and Managers, as well as off-shore and internationally dispersed teams
• 5+ combined years in Product Management
• Fluency in JIRA and Aha!
• Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
• Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies

Responsibilities

• Support and lead a team of world-class engineers, product owners and designers throughout product lifecycle
• Develop and maintain a near-real time picture of concept attainment across 4 scrum teams, including the “why” behind the attainment in relation to levers like initial estimates, velocity, scope change, concept status, etc
• Lead and manage Product Owners & Managers, and govD teams in effective program increment planning
• Develop operations excellence to promote health and hygiene of the govD backlogs and releases across value streams (e.g. security vulnerabilities, CSIs, support, etc.)
• Facilitate effective cross-functional communications across product management, engineering, cloud, support, implementation, solutions consulting, and customer success teams
• Effectively manage tradeoffs associated with delivering roadmap concepts and maintaining the products, engaging senior leadership to support in decision-making when necessary
• Sets high expectations related to PO command of the govD tools and how they are intended to work
• Lead daily standups, in partnership with govD Director, across PM and POs to facilitate effective govD roadmap planning and attainment
• Proven success in communicating, presenting, and selling ideas to senior executives
• Act as a mentor, trainer and resource to other Product team members
• Participate in the continuous improvement and scaling of Product Management best practices at Granicus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in marketing automation and/or digital engagement platforms is an added bonus
• Demonstrated ability to build quantitative business cases and financial models
• Demonstrated experience with complex, transformational roadmap initiatives
• Experience delivering high-quality technology products/services in a fast-moving environment where priorities and structures shift rapidly
• Success working in an agile environment
• High level of intellectual curiosity drives you to ask great questions and seek supporting data to interpret the most important needs of the product
• Excellent organizational and quantitative analytical skills
• Technical depth that enables you to understand and earn the respect of the engineers you work with
• Ability to break the long-term vision down into specific, manageable deliverables that deliver user value as quickly as possible
• Ability to think strategically with the capacity to expand customer use cases into platform-wide requirements
• Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills regardless of the audience — software engineers, product designers, business stakeholders, users, etc
