Requirements
- You have delivered new research to an in production product in a past role
- A Life Long Learner - You are willing to go deep and reach into the disciplines you are not familiar with
- Experienced Research Leader – You have successfully led research teams and guided PhD-level talent toward product outcomes
- Computer Vision & 3D Familiarity – You have experience with products that used 2D/3D vision, visualization, material science, or texture modeling
- Strong Communicator & Organizer – You excel at structuring research roadmaps and keeping teams focused on execution
Responsibilities
- Define and drive strategy, prioritization, and execution to align research and engineering milestones with company goals and business impact
- Oversee initiatives related to: Automated application of color to teeth based on specifications
- Oversee initiatives related to: Shade capture—developing methods to extract accurate tooth color regardless of lighting or environment
- Guide research by balancing innovation with practical execution, defining best practices for development, evaluation, and deployment
- Lead and mentor a blended team of research scientists and engineers to translate research into a scalable product
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and product teams to integrate research into production workflows
