You'll mentor a team of mobile engineers, own product roadmap execution, ensure quality and performance, and collaborate cross-functionally. The role requires deep knowledge of React Native, native mobile development, and experience managing engineering teams. Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of hands-on mobile development
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams, with a proven track record of growing and mentoring individual contributors
- Demonstrated experience delivering technical projects with multiple engineering contributors from conception to delivery
- Deep knowledge of React Native as a mobile-first framework, including its architecture, native components, and limitations
- Proven experience with native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java) and deep expertise in bridging React Native with native code
- Proficiency in using GraphQL and Redux for efficient data fetching and state management
- Solid testing and debugging skills in a mobile context, including experience writing unit and integration tests
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance, and platform APIs
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality mobile features
Responsibilities
- Oversee a critical function focused on delivering high-impact, customer-facing features for our Driver and Fleet applications
- Manage a team dedicated to rapid iteration and direct user experience enhancements, collaborating closely with product and design to bring our vision to life
- Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of core client-facing features for our mobile applications, enhancing the direct user experience for drivers and fleet managers
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented mobile engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with product managers and designers to translate high-level requirements into clear technical roadmaps, ensuring timely and high-quality feature releases
- Oversee the team's adherence to best practices in code quality, testing, accessibility, and performance optimization for all delivered features
- Facilitate seamless collaboration with backend engineering, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions
- Guide architectural discussions and coach your engineers to set the technical direction for feature development, ensuring scalability and maintainability

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing teams delivering B2B or enterprise mobile applications
- Background in native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java), including creating native modules or bridging React Native with native iOS and Android code
- Hands-on experience ensuring mobile app accessibility compliance
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, build tools, and test automation
- Experience working with microservices
- Domain experience in logistics, fleet management, or industrial IoT, especially building mobile apps for drivers or field workers
