Summary

Join Altium's R&D team as a QA Engineer and contribute to the testing and quality assurance of Altium Designer and related products. You will participate in planning, execute testing, and coordinate efforts across teams. Develop and maintain automated tests using C# and work with desktop automation tools. This role requires 4+ years of QA experience, including experience driving QA team flow and knowledge of CI/CD. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • 1+ years of driving flow in the QA team
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • VCS systems (SVN, GIT) experience
  • Experience in programming and automation scripting
  • Ability to identify flaws in testing processes, toolsets, and infrastructure, and propose and drive necessary improvements
  • Upper-intermediate level of written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the testing process during the implementation of new changes in projects/products, ensuring the high quality of Altium Designer, and related Altium products based on its following quality standards
  • Work with the Team on the planning process, deliver new features and coordinate testing efforts between teams/PM/TL/RM, the support team, and technical writers
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using C#
  • Work with desktop automation tools and assist in troubleshooting issues with autotests
  • Be a part of an ambitious team of professionals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with vector graphic editors (CAD)
  • Experience in testing of desktop applications
  • Experience in electronic engineering or similar
  • Virtualization basic knowledge (VMWare, VBox, Virtual PC)
  • Traffic sniffers knowledge (Fiddler, HTTP Debugger)
  • Performance testing tools knowledge (i.e. Jmeter)
  • Understanding of OOP language (C# or Java)
  • Experience with automation testing
