Market Data Analyst in France

Summary

Kpler is seeking an experienced Analyst to join their Market Data Operations team, specializing in Vegoil/Biofuels markets. The Analyst will be responsible for data collection, processing, analysis, and quality control, as well as client interaction and trend detection. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years' experience in commodity markets, advanced Excel skills, BI tools knowledge, SQL skills, and excellent analytical ability.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in commodity markets
• Experience in data analytics
• Subject matter expertise in at least one related vegoil/biofuels market
• Experience working with large, disparate and/or unstructured data sets (advanced Excel, BI tools and SQL skills)
• Excellent analytical ability
• Persistence and natural curiosity about biofuels market fundamentals and technical details
• Well-rounded communication skills
• Ability to work well in a global team environment, focusing on collaboration and adapting to the needs of a diverse team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to regular deadlines

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of data quality collection, processing and analysis of data related to Vegoil/Biofuels markets
• Operate as a subject matter expert on the global vegoils/biofuels markets
• Perform daily checks and edits of data on Kpler platform to ensure the reliability and accuracy of global seaborne flows, supply & demand
• Draft fast-response analysis to ad-hoc requests from clients and assist the sales and customer success teams in meeting clients’ data needs
• Conduct research including identifying new data sources and statistical analysis of results
• Prepare written correspondence and engage directly with clients to present analysis
• Monitor market news and developments to extract meaningful patterns and detect new trends
• Help drive continuous improvements to the team’s data quality procedures

Python Knowledge a plus
