Requirements

  • Be located in a major city in British Columbia or Alberta, Canada and able to work remotely
  • Have access to a personal computer and the Internet
  • Be available to work 30-35 hours a week during the project
  • Be prepared to conduct personal visits to stores and gather secondary source information
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Be an open communicator who pays attention to deadlines and is tenacious in the pursuit of information
  • Have a disposition to visit local stores to capture relevant product information and discuss the industry with key staff
  • Have experience with Excel
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate an interest in market research and tenacity in the pursuit of information
  • Possess excellent time-management, organization, and self-motivation skills
  • Have the flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes in project scope, starting dates, etc
  • Be available to start within 2 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Conduct project-based market research work for project managers based in LATAM
  • Gather information through personal visits to stores and phone interviews in British Columbia or Alberta, Canada
  • Analyze market data to answer business questions such as sales figures, leading players in a category, market potential for a product, and competitive analysis
