Summary

The Marketing Intern will assist with multiple responsibilities of the Marketing Team at Royal Electric Company in Sacramento, CA or Long Beach, CA. Key responsibilities include bid support, design assistance, creation of written materials (proposals, presentations, and collateral), and SEO enhancement.

Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships is required

• Knowledge of graphic design principles is required
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to frequent change, delays or unexpected events is required

• Proficiency in MS Office, WordPress as well as creative software such as Adobe Premiere, Lightroom Classic, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Understanding of web publishing requirements
• Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences
• Ability to develop skill in SEO and web traffic metrics
• Project management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English

Responsibilities

• Assist with many aspects of request for proposal documents
• Perform quality control on proposals and other materials
• Assist with edits and proofreads responses to requests for proposals and qualifications to ensure comprehensive and compliant responses
• Coordinates, attends, and contributes to marketing meetings with respective teams
• Develops written materials including brochures, project lists, data sheets and resumes, performing functions within CRM databases and/or collaborating with department champions to obtain info
• Produces and distributes effective promotional and collateral marketing materials
• Creates and maintains proposal graphics in Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator or PowerPoint
• Collaborate with Mktg Mgr. to finalize design mock-ups in Illustrator
• SEO Enhancement - Website maintenance, updates
• Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CRM databases is preferred
