Summary
Join iHerb's Japan team as a Marketing professional responsible for driving brand awareness, sales, and customer acquisition. You will lead marketplace marketing efforts on platforms like Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo!, developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies. This role requires managing promotions, curations, and collaborating with global teams. You will also develop and execute email, retargeting, and loyalty programs, while optimizing paid search campaigns for maximum ROI. The position involves working with cross-functional teams, managing local agencies, and reporting on results. This is a remote/hybrid role based in Tokyo, Japan.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant e-commerce experience
- Bachelorโs degree required
- Must be fluent in Japanese and working level English
- Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Drive customer acquisition strategies to attract new buyers and increase customer retention through marketplace-specific marketing tactics
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for iHerb Marketplaces on Amazon, Rakuten, Yahoo!, and other relevant platforms
- Manage Japan specific promotions, curations and coordinate with global teams on for retention campaigns
- Develop and execute email, retargeting, and loyalty programs aimed at increasing sales and customer lifetime value
- Work with cross-functional teams to create and execute innovative campaigns that resonate with local and global customer segments
- Manage and optimize paid search campaigns on marketplaces, ensuring maximum ROI
- Execute promotions and product listing optimization to improve visibility, sales, and customer engagement
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to align marketplace strategies with overall brand goals
- Develop paid media strategies aligned with the companyโs goals, negotiate media buys, explore new channels, and launch partnerships to enhance visibility with key focus on growing our customer base
- Manage the local agencies in improving impact and relevancy to Japanese customers
- Report daily, weekly results and progress against sales plan. Analyze reports for the market, translate findings into insights and actionable growth tactics
- Proactively research partner's sites to ensure accuracy and delivery of our content, while continuously looking at ways to improve our brand position
- Support Japan team to define commercial strategies and trade marketing calendar to accelerate sales
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of the e-commerce Marketplace landscape and genuine passion for digital marketing, particularly in driving performance-based results
