Join Affinitiv's award-winning team as a media planning intern! Gain hands-on experience in traditional media buying and planning, working with radio, television, cable, and OTT/CTV. You will utilize internal tools like Strata and the Affinitiv Dashboard, learn about industry resources such as Nielsen and SRDS, and develop a foundational understanding of media buying processes, planning, sponsorship evaluation, and discrepancy resolution. The internship will also involve collaboration with various teams and maintaining Affinitiv's high communication standards. Upon completion, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of traditional media buying and planning.
Requirements
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Quantitative and analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task, collaborate successfully with teams and work well under pressure
Responsibilities
- Has a firm understanding of Strata and how itβs utilized at Affinitiv Advertising in media buys
- Utilizes our Dashboard to complete assigned tasks
- Learn about Nielsen, Tapscan, SRDS and SQAD, how they work, and how to use these resources
- Basic understanding of media buying including how to estimate, negotiate and put together a media buy
- Basic understanding of media planning and how to complete a media deck
- Basic understanding of how to evaluate a sponsorship
- Basic understanding of resolving discrepancies
- Basic understanding of stewardship, maintenance and makegoods
- Interacts with Account Service and Media Billing/Coop team members
- Maintains Affinitiv Advertising standards in all communication, internal documents, external documents and presents the company in a positive light 100% of the time
- Attends Monthly Team meetings
