Summary
Join Azurity Pharmaceuticals as a Radiology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and advance the company's radiology-related products and initiatives in the US market. This US-based role within the Medical Affairs Department reports to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers (HCPs), delivering medical education, acting as the primary contact for scientific inquiries, supporting research collaborations, and assisting in medical and commercial support activities. The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral-level qualification (PharmD, PhD, MD) and 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, including at least 2 years as an MSL. A strong background in radiology, medical imaging, or related fields is essential. Up to 60% travel is required.
Requirements
- Doctoral-level qualification (PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred, with a strong background in radiology, medical imaging, or related fields
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred, with at least 2 years as a Medical Science Liaison
- Thorough understanding of radiology science, medical imaging standards, and clinical practices
- Ability to communicate highly scientific and technical information related to radiology therapeutics and diagnostics
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for excellence
- Strong writing skills with experience in medical communications, particularly in radiology
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with radiology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), medical thought leaders, and healthcare providers (HCPs) through scientific exchanges to support Azurity’s product development and scientific platforms in the US
- Deliver product- and disease-related medical education, including pharmacoeconomic analyses, to internal teams, radiologists, HCPs, managed care organizations, payers, and medical societies in settings like hospitals, academic institutions, and medical congresses
- Act as the primary contact for medical and scientific inquiries from radiologists, HCPs, payers, formulary decision-makers, advocacy groups, and internal stakeholders regarding Azurity’s radiology products and disease states
- Support company-sponsored trials, clinical trial site recruitment, and unsolicited Investigator Initiated Research proposals, collaborating with KOLs and investigators on research opportunities and maintaining engagement through trial completion and data publication
- Assist in medical communications, grant proposals, health economics research, speaker training, Advisory Boards, and sales training on disease state awareness, product information, and competitive landscape in radiology
- Stay current on disease states, clinical information, product data, and competitive landscapes within the imaging therapeutic area
- Attend radiology-focused medical meetings (e.g., RSNA, ARRS) to gather and share scientific and competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in radiology or imaging-related therapeutic areas is highly desirable
