Summary

Join Chronosphere, a leader in observability platforms, as an Infrastructure Engineer. You will play a key role in optimizing and enhancing our platform's components, ensuring scalability and reliability. This involves solving complex distributed systems problems, building highly scalable systems using Go, Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS, and operating large-scale distributed systems globally. You will also contribute to developing user-friendly internal tools to improve developer productivity. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in building high-scale systems, operating Kubernetes clusters, and working with cloud providers. A passion for mentoring junior engineers is also highly valued.

Requirements

  • Own projects from inception to delivery (i.e. plan and gather requirements, collaborate with Product)
  • Have pre-existing experience in how to build high-scale systems and experience with building sophisticated application services
  • Have a passion for growing and up-leveling your peers, and have pre-existing mentoring experience and a nuanced view around how to help junior engineers grow
  • Manage time and focus on the critical path of a project
  • Have experience with Go or C++, Java, C#, Rust
  • Have experience with operating Kubernetes clusters
  • Have experience with building and operating distributed systems at scale on top of cloud providers, like GCP and AWS
  • Have experience with monitoring and alerting
  • Have thorough experience with Linux

Responsibilities

  • Work on solving complex distributed systems problems at the largest scales in the world
  • Help to make our infrastructure and architecture scale to meet the needs of the platform, and most importantly, solve the needs of engineers and companies using our platform
  • Use Go to build highly scalable and reliable distributed systems
  • Build on top of our architecture stack using Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS
  • Operate large-scale distributed systems at scale globally
