Summary

Join SimSpace as a Business Development Representative (BDR) and drive the growth of our Cyber Range platform in the State, Local, Education, and Defense (SLED) markets. This critical role involves proactive outreach, lead qualification, and building relationships to support the AVP of Sales. You will conduct targeted outreach, identify and nurture leads, schedule meetings, maintain CRM records, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams. Develop a deep understanding of our platform, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. Participate in market research and support sales presentations and proposals. Travel to industry events may be required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles, preferably within cybersecurity or technology
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Proficient with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted outreach via phone, email, and digital channels to prospective SLED clients
  • Identify, qualify, and nurture new leads into actionable sales opportunities
  • Schedule and facilitate introductory meetings between potential clients and the AVP of Sales
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities and interactions within the CRM system
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure alignment and optimize sales strategies
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the SimSpace Cyber Range platform, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Participate in market research to identify new opportunities and potential partnerships within the SLED vertical
  • Support preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and bid responses
  • Travel to trade shows, conferences, and other industry events when requested

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling or supporting sales to State, Local, Education, and Defense sectors preferred
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and/or virtual training environments is highly desirable
