Summary
Join InvoiceCloud as a Mid-Market Account Executive and drive significant growth in the mid-market public sector. You will own the entire sales process, from identifying prospects to closing deals, focusing on acquiring new clients and modernizing their payment systems with InvoiceCloud's platform. As a strategic advisor, you will build trust, uncover customer needs, and design compelling demos. You will collaborate with various teams to create tailored solutions and exceed revenue goals. This role requires 4+ years of SaaS sales experience in a mid-market environment, ideally within local government or utilities. InvoiceCloud offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, uncapped commissions, accelerator bonuses, and top performance bonuses.
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, ideally in a mid-market environment
- Experience selling into local government, utilities, or similarly regulated industries
- Proficiency in modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Value Selling, or Challenger
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Strong discovery, communication, and presentation skills
- A track record of performance, grit, and a passion for solving real customer problems
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and modern demo platforms
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Win new business
- Own the entire sales process—from identifying and engaging new prospects, through value-driven discovery, compelling demos, and final negotiations
- Land new logos, displacing legacy competitors, and helping local governments modernize their payment experiences with InvoiceCloud’s market-leading platform
- Act as a strategic advisor to your prospects, bringing insight, urgency, and credibility to every interaction
- Work cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Channel Partners to tailor solutions that solve real customer problems and showcase the full value of our platform
- Take ownership of outcomes, challenges the status quo, and plays a key role in driving InvoiceCloud’s growth in the mid-market public sector
- Deeply understand our product and the real problems it solves for municipalities
- Build trust quickly and uncover customer pain through thoughtful discovery
- Design compelling demos and navigate complex decision-making processes with confidence
- Develop and execute a territory strategy that leverages partner channels, inbound motion, and your own prospecting skills to consistently exceed revenue goals
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Channel Partners to create tailored solutions that drive measurable impact
- Share insights that improve how we sell, who we target, and where we win
