Summary
Join Softjourn, a global software development company, as a Scrum Master for a challenging project involving the development of an online banking platform. You will work with a distributed team using Agile methodologies (Scrum) and a variety of technologies (Mulesoft, Salesforce, AWS, Azure DevOps). This role requires at least 3 years of Scrum Master experience in IT, a strong understanding of Agile principles, and excellent communication and organizational skills. You will facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, coach team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Requirements
- At least 3 years of Scrum Master experience within an IT company
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, values, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
- Proactive and result-driven mindset with a focus on getting things done
- English not lower than CEFR B2, C1 preferred
- Convincing, engaging and effective communicator skills (including presenting skills)
- Strong organizational, negotiation, conflict resolution skills
- Accountability and excellent time and priorities management skills
- Self-reliance and strong common sense (critical thinking)
- Ability to search for necessary information quickly and efficiently
- Ability to audit, set up and optimize scrum processes
- Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Responsibilities
- Help the team understand and adhere to the Scrum framework
- Work with the team to establish and improve Scrum processes as needed
- Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Identify and remove obstacles that impede the teamβs progress
- Support the team by fostering self-organization and empowering them to make decisions
- Focus on the needs of the team to help them achieve their goals
- Coach team members on Agile principles, values, and practices
- Encourage teamwork, openness, and transparency within the team
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and Business Analysts to ensure the backlog is well-organized and ready for development
- Lead retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and ensure actionable steps are taken
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and enhancement within the team
- Assist the team in resolving conflicts effectively and constructively
- Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions to maintain focus on their goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial projects
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent
