Network Architect

As a Systems Architect, you will architect and optimize LANs and WANs for high-frequency trading applications, develop and maintain network automation tools, identify and mitigate network latency, and implement advanced monitoring solutions. You will collaborate with various teams to meet business requirements and provide technical expertise to resolve complex network issues. This role requires a strong background in network engineering within financial services or ultra-low latency environments, in-depth knowledge of hardware and operating systems, and 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining medium to large network fleets. Requirements

• Experience low latency interconnects and design
• In depth knowledge hardware and operating systems
• Storage area network design and support
• 8+ years’ experience of design, implementation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of medium to large fleets
• Experience integrating and maintaining cloud platform networks (AWS, GPC, Azure, etc.), and managing server configurations and deployments as code

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize multicast and unicast LANs and WANs to support high-frequency trading applications with minimal latency
• Develop, deploy, and maintain network automation tools to streamline network configuration, monitoring, and performance analysis
• Identify and mitigate potential sources of network latency; continuously optimize infrastructure to meet low-latency trading requirements
• Implement advanced monitoring solutions to track network performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time, ensuring high availability and reliability with the lowest possible latency
• Work closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to understand business requirements and align network infrastructure to meet performance and scalability needs
• Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, particularly related to latency and traffic drops
• Liaise with network hardware and software vendors to ensure optimal solutions and upgrades for high-performance trading environments
