Join Continental as a Network Engineer - Secure Internet Access and lead the design and development of the Secure Internet Access service. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solutions meet evolving needs. Requirements
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a network architect or in a similar role, with a focus on VPN, Firewall, SASE, Loadbalancers and Access services, is crucial
- Knowledge of network design, server management, and IP addressing
- Knowledge in agile frameworks, ITSM processes and DevOps (automation, infrastructure/configuration as code)
- Good communication and collaboration skills, intercultural sensitivity and fluent in English (spoken and written) - min. B2
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to solve complex issues / problems
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of the Secure Internet Access service to ensure it meets the evolving needs of Continental Tires, ensuring robust, secure, reliable, and efficient architectures for internet access
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including software and hardware vendors, technical teams, and business units, to understand their needs and ensure the solutions align with their requirements
- Oversee and manage Secure Internet Access related tools i.e. Fortimanager, FortiAnalyzer
- Driving escalation and problem management processes, coordinating complex incident and problem resolution with internal IT teams and external service providers
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Secure Internet Access service to ensure high availability and reliability, derive optimizations, and ensure all solutions comply with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices
- Steer and coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless integration and support of network services
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on Secure Internet Access technologies, best practices, and industry standards
- Maintain documentation of current infrastructure, solution designs, architectures, and implementation processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience is a plus
- Certifications such as CCNP, or equivalent are a plus
