Network Engineer

Summary

Join IT-Services Hungary (ITSH), a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom Group, as a Network Engineer. Experiment with cutting-edge Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, and Adtran devices in designing and developing new networks for large Telekom sites. The role involves L3VPN topics, QoS testing, configuration development (including Perl scripting), and test automation. You will prepare and define test scenarios, validate and document results, and define requirements for lab infrastructure. Technical consulting with manufacturers may be required. Long-term, network design tasks will be integrated into the role. Remote work is possible within Hungary.

Requirements

• Prepare, define (high and low-level lab design), and follow up on test scenarios; validate and document test results
• Define the requirements of labor infrastructure and test/measuring equipment
• Automate tests using scripts
• Provide technical consulting to manufacturers and suppliers (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, and Adtran) as needed
• Contribute to network design tasks in the long run

Responsibilities

• Develop new networks using Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, and Adtran devices
• Perform L3VPN tasks
• Conduct QoS testing
• Generate configurations
• Troubleshoot network issues
• Develop configurations using Perl
• Conduct function, map, and platform regression tests
• Manage configurations and perform automated QoS quick tests
• Train on test environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agile methodology
• German (B2 level) or willingness to learn German
