Requirements

  • Have experience in telecommunications network design and management
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement
  • Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services
  • Be a US Citizen with Active SECRET clearance
  • Two (2) years progressive IT experience
  • Required CE certification (CCNA or other relevant Telecommunications Engineer CISCO certifications)
  • Required 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security + CE or CCNA Security)
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs over head

Responsibilities

  • Experience in telecommunications network design and management
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement
  • Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services
  • Analyze and develop telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services
  • Develop designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion
  • Analyze the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported. Define the problem and develop system requirements and network specifications
  • Closely coordinate with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services in conjunction with functional users, develop alternative solutions and backup plans

Certification and experience installing wireless networks
