Summary
Join NBCUniversal's Network Engineering group in London as a Network Engineer. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting global network infrastructure for broadcast and media production. This role involves working on projects across global locations, including supporting real estate projects and delivering enhancements to network services. The ideal candidate is proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network appliances from various vendors and possesses strong collaboration skills. The position is primarily remote with occasional office presence and potential international travel. You will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure minimal disruption to on-air operations.
Requirements
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network appliances from multiple vendors, with a strong focus on Cisco (IOS, NX-OS, XR), Arista, Palo Alto Networks, and F5 Networks
- Experience of deploying and supporting VXLAN
- Manage and administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls using Panorama, including policy creation, implementation, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
- Strong ability in creating High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for complex network architectures
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices
- Travel occasionally to support project deployments, remote events, and other business needs
- Analyze network logs, packet captures using tools such as Sevone, Wireshark, Splunk and other data sources to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance and service issues
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to implement new technologies and resolve complex technical problems
- Contribute to network capacity planning and forecasting to ensure network scalability and performance
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule to provide timely support for production network incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to on-air operations

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable
- Qualification in Cisco Networking such as CCNA/CCNP or other similar Network Qualifications
