Senior Systems Engineer, Network Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Systems/Network Engineer or Solutions/Technical Architect to lead the migration of legacy applications from an old environment to a new Greenfield environment. This hands-on architectural role requires a strong blend of operational and design skills, with a focus on detailed documentation. You will create comprehensive physical diagrams, including server summaries, floor plans, rack layouts, and network configurations. Experience with Active Directory and LDAP authentication is essential, as is the ability to design and implement a migration strategy for Windows 2012 servers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of leading design operations reviews before handing off to the build team.

Requirements

• Possess a good mixture of operational technical background along with design and documentation skills
• Experience with authentication types (AD, LDAP, internal)
• Ability to work at a very granular/detail level
• Experience with Windows 2012 servers and Active Directory

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy applications from old environment to new Greenfield environment
• Create detailed physical diagrams of entire environments
• Document server summaries, product/licenses, floor plans, implementation strategy, rack layouts, cooling and power, network port connections, firewall ports/containers, physical connections, IP addressing, design notes, and virtual guest summaries and configuration settings
• Understand network diagrams provided by the Network team
• Design server needs for a virtual network, including Bill of Materials and A/V equipment
• Migrate Windows 2012 servers from old environment to new Greenfield environment with Active Directory, ensuring proper setup
• Design and implement standard naming conventions and standard networking equipment
• Lead Design Operations Reviews before handing off to the Build team
