Summary
Join PatientPoint's Cybersecurity team as a Network Engineer and contribute to improving health outcomes for millions of patients nationwide. This remote role requires 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including 2+ years with Netskope, and a strong understanding of security best practices. You will be responsible for configuring, provisioning, administering, and governing network hardware and software, ensuring network integrity, physical protection, and authorized access to systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) methodologies, Netskope, static routing, and routing through cloud vendor environments, as well as a solid understanding of incident response processes and best practices. Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
- 2+ years of Netskope experience
- Proven experience with routing in cloud and data center environments
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy Netskope-based solutions
- Strong background in network and security technologies, including solution design and implementation
- Solid understanding of incident response processes and best practice
Responsibilities
- Influence, build, and assist with solutions and core network projects related to connectivity, firewalls, and segmentation
- Serve as a subject matter expert by partnering with teams across the company and providing guidance on various networking topics
- Monitor the general networking landscape and research current industry trends to optimize and align internal processes with reference frameworks
- Recertify the Business Continuity Plan annually
- Conduct detailed assessments of network security and access rules to ensure they are secure, appropriate, and defensible
- Define requirements and operational procedures to ensure network integrity, physical protection, and authorized access to systems and applications
- Provision, deploy, configure, and administer various components of the network
- Identify and implement solutions for complex network challenges
- Enhance network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect emerging threat vectors
- Support the development of System Security Plans, Cyber Improvement Plans, and Security Operating Policies and Procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Security Certification
- Netskope Cloud Security Certification
- Familiarity with common network and security best practices
- Ability to understand and navigate highly complex network environments
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture
- Strong adaptability and eagerness to quickly learn and apply new information
- Experience researching, designing, and implementing defensive security systems for globally distributed environments
- In-depth understanding of host and network-based access controls
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and Unix-based systems
- A genuine desire for continuous learning and process improvement
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work with team member
