Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in complex IT environments, including Datacenters
- 6+ years of deep expertise in networking technologies, including Datacenter networks, firewalls, LAN, and WAN
- Strong ability to work independently, and proven experience in leading technical teams or projects
- Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills, with the ability to provide strategic technical direction
- A focus on results and achieving objectives in high-stakes, fast-paced environments
- Expertise in modern Datacentre concepts and technologies
- Extensive hands-on experience with: Cisco ACI - must have skills
- Strong command of network routing principles, Datacentre switching (CISCO, HP, DELL, IBM), WAN networking, and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP/VRRP)
- Proven incident management and service request handling experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 5 weeks)
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of an additional language is a plus
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of designing, implementing, and managing IT networking services in the datacenter for internal customers
- Act as the technical lead, guiding the team in delivering robust, secure, and scalable network solutions
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including local IT staff and non-technical personnel, to ensure the smooth delivery of network services
- Provide technical leadership, offering expert guidance and direction on complex network infrastructure projects
- Design, operate, and manage Datacentre network fabric based on Cisco ACI, Cisco ASR, and Check Point NGFW
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as the Architecture and Group IT Security, to maintain audit and control standards for all services and platforms
- Innovate and enhance service delivery while adhering to security and technology standards
- Act as a point of escalation and guidance for resolving complex technical issues, applying ITIL frameworks
- Oversee incident management, problem resolution, and service delivery for all provided services, ensuring high levels of uptime and performance
- Drive technical strategy and decision-making within the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and group technology standards
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical excellence and professional development
- Lead troubleshooting and problem resolution efforts, offering strategic solutions to both routine and complex issues
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals, progress, and challenges
- Ensure adherence to best practices in network architecture, security, and operational procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Next-Generation Firewalls (Check Point or equivalent - Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) - good to have skills
- Experience of Datacentre networking, design, and architect desired experience with SD-WAN technologies (Velocloud preferred) and load balancing (A10 or F5)
- Experience in managing wireless solutions, PKI, DNS
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and SolarWinds monitoring
- Familiarity with Firewall Analyzer tools (Tufin or alternatives - Algosec, Firemon)
- Certifications like CCNP or ITIL Foundation are advantageous, and experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus
