As an Accountant, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, automate tasks using Python and Power Queries, implement new tools and systems, and prepare financial statements. Requirements

  • You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a university or similar
  • You bring 2–4 years of professional experience in accounting, audit (UGB, potentially IFRS) — ideally in a fast-moving company or accounting advisory environment
  • You are motivated to learn and grow , with a proactive mindset and willingness to take on new challenges
  • You are a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • You’ve started to optimize recurring tasks through implementing automation , and are curious to deepen your knowledge in Power Queries , Python and ideally BMD
  • You have an eye for detail , are structured in your work, and strive for accuracy and data integrity
  • You are a team player with a hands-on mentality and want to work in an environment where your ideas can shape future processes
  • You have a can-do mentality and do not use the term “That doesn’t work”
  • You are fluent in English and ideally speak German (or are open to improving it)
  • You are excited by the idea of combining finance with automation and digital tools , and want to contribute to a company with a positive mission

Responsibilities

  • You support the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple Refurbed Group entities
  • You support and shape the automation and improvement of manual tasks (e.g., reporting, reconciliations) using Phyton and Power Queries — and are encouraged to explore scripting and BI tools further
  • You contribute in implementing new tools and systems (such as BMD modules, invoice processing tools, etc)
  • You help prepare monthly and annual financial statements , assisting with UGB-compliant documentation
  • You contribute to reconciling accounts, preparing reports , and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
  • You contribute to internal process documentation and SOPs , ensuring finance operations are clear and scalable
  • You work cross-functionally with colleagues from other teams (e.g., Operations, Seller, Marketing, People, others) to ensure smooth financial workflows
  • You take part in audit preparations , learn about internal control systems, and progressively take on more responsibility as you grow

Preferred Qualifications

  • You leverage Power Queries, Python, BMD and Excel to automate reporting , clean and transform data , and improve the quality and speed of decision-making for senior management
  • Experience building interfaces that connect big data platforms to accounting systems , particularly for reconciliations is a major plus
  • You are experienced in e-commerce or consumer goods , especially when it comes to handling complex transaction flows
  • You may have worked in an e-commerce, SaaS, or fintech environment (internships included)
  • You want to build your career at the intersection of finance and technology — and work in a company that values innovation and sustainability
