Summary
Join Vitable Health as a Nurse Practitioner for weekend-only telemedicine coverage. This per diem role offers flexible weekend shifts and the chance to deliver patient-centered virtual care across multiple markets. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, order and interpret tests, educate patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The role requires a Doctorate or Master’s degree in Nursing, board certification as an FNP, active NP licensure in at least two states (DC, DE, IL, MD, NJ, PA, OH, TX, FL), independent prescriptive authority, and experience in primary care and telemedicine. Strong diagnostic and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in EMRs and online tools. Weekend availability and a willingness to work 10+ hours per week are highly valued.
Requirements
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Active NP licensure in good standing in two or more of the following states: DC, DE, IL, MD, NJ, PA, OH, TX, FL
- Possess Independent Prescriptive Authority, where applicable
- 1+ years of clinical practice experience, exclusive of orientation/training, with a focus on primary care
- At least 6 months of telemedicine experience
- Weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday) is required
- Comfortable providing care synchronously via video
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Strong diagnostic skills and excellent communication abilities
- Skilled at using online tools and platforms to deliver care and communicate with patients
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff for coordinated care
- Document patient care in electronic health records
- Adhere to all Vitable Health policies and guidelines and complete all training
Preferred Qualifications
Willingness to work 10+ hours per week is a strong plus
