Summary
Join Wakam as their Operational Resilience Lead and spearhead the development and enhancement of their UK Operational Resilience framework. You will ensure regulatory compliance with PRA/FCA expectations, manage cross-functional alignment, and conduct annual IBS reviews. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in operational risk, business continuity, or operational resilience in UK financial services
- Strong command of PRA/FCA regulations relating to operational resilience
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional governance and RACI frameworks
- Experience working with outsourcing arrangements and third-party risk
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Experience with vulnerability assessments, BCP, DR testing, and reporting
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the full UK Operational Resilience framework (policies, methodologies, templates)
- Chair the UK OpRes Working Group and manage governance documentation
- Build strong cross-functional alignment across departments and third-party stakeholders
- Ensure timely and accurate PRA/FCA communications, including breach declarations
- Maintain up-to-date filings and board-ready reports on Operational Resilience posture
- Conduct annual IBS reviews and impact tolerance setting
- Monitor and document service performance and provide insights to executive leadership
- Lead annual resource mapping across all IBS-related services
- Collaborate with third parties on vulnerability assessments and treatment plans
- Track remediation activities and keep criticality documentation current
- Design and execute scenario tests, leveraging best practices and third-party collaboration
- Lead post-incident reviews and ensure real-time documentation of impacts
- Drive annual self-assessments and propose improvements for OR maturity
- Keep the knowledge base updated and represent Wakam in industry forums
