Summary
The job is a 12-16 week technical internship at Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) where the intern will work on various projects related to SPARC operations. The position requires hands-on operating experience, process engineering background, and exceptional results through different pursuits.
Requirements
- Hands on operating experience, such as Maritime/Navy Operations
- Process Engineering background, knowledge of pump curves
- Hands-on experience through academic research, project teams, machine shops, hackathons, or industry internships
- Demonstration of exceptional results through a range of different pursuits
- High self-motivation and drive to execute quickly with excellent troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Support design, commissioning, and preparations for future SPARC operations
- For the SPARC service systems, which include HVAC, Compressed Air, Cooling Water, and Fire Protection, the intern will focus on a single subsystem and develop HMI & Alarm Strategy, Operating Procedure Development, Commissioning Support (if necessary), Maintenance Plan Development, and Lockout/Tagout Plans
Benefits
40-50 hours per week with set hourly salary based on year in school
