Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in order-to-cash, accounting operations, business process improvement, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience managing distributed teams
  • Proven experience managing and scaling operational teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Expertise in establishing and tracking operational metrics (cost, efficiency, etc.) and driving changes based on data insights
  • Exceptional delegation and leadership skills, with a focus on team accountability and development
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a proven ability to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions within the order-to-cash process
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing efficiency programs across accounting operations teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage and scale a large distributed workforce, ensuring optimal performance across all accounting operations tasks
  • Establish and track cost, efficiency, and performance metrics, using the data to drive improvements across the accounting operations department
  • Lead process optimization initiatives to enhance departmental efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities, particularly within the order-to-cash workflow
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers experiencing issues with our order-to-cash workflows
  • Work closely with customers to understand their pain points, identify root causes, and propose solutions to resolve their concerns
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to determine corrective actions based on root cause analyses
  • Oversee and manage complex order-to-cash projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are consistently met
  • Implement strong project management practices, including goal-setting, milestone tracking, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align project outcomes with organizational objectives
  • Provide leadership and direction to the accounting operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring clear ownership and accountability at all levels of the team
  • Mentor and coach team members, ensuring they meet both individual and departmental deadlines
  • Identify team development needs and lead initiatives to address skill gaps within the workforce
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost-efficiency, team productivity, and process bottlenecks within order-to-cash
  • Analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary departmental changes
  • Present operational performance data to senior leadership and advocate for necessary resources or adjustments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in understanding order-to-cash workflows and working directly with customers to resolve operational issues
