Summary
Join BlackCloak as a Paralegal and provide comprehensive legal support, driving our legal operations and corporate governance initiatives. You will work closely with our General Counsel, managing the contract lifecycle, creating and maintaining contract documentation, and assisting with data privacy projects. This pivotal role requires a keen eye for detail, strong contract management understanding, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. A paralegal degree or certificate, or advanced degree in law is required, along with excellent communication and time management skills. Prior in-house legal department experience is preferred. Requirements
- A paralegal degree or certificate, or advanced degree in law
- Good working knowledge of common commercial agreements, clauses and contracting practices
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Excellent writing and proofreading abilities
- Must be detail oriented and proactive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team atmosphere
Responsibilities
- Provide contract support for client agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other commercial agreements
- Manage the contracts lifecycle process for all agreements
- Create and maintain an existing contracts document library
- Create and maintain a program to document and share contract obligations with internal stakeholders
- Assist in the development and management of internal policies and procedures and other compliance requirements
- Assist with data privacy projects and related compliance requirements, ranging from updating the companyβs privacy policy and notices and assisting with managing the companyβs data subject requests response process
- Assist HR in maintaining state accounts and compliance with state employment and other legal requirements
- Work with the General Counsel on special projects and initiatives
