Requirements

  • 2+ Years experience as a litigation paralegal in plaintiff-side employment law
  • Strong expertise in managing high-volume client intakes and initial case evaluations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client retention
  • Proficiency with intake and case management software (Filevine, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
  • Ability to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in client onboarding
  • Knowledge of and adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements
  • California experience required; Arizona experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client consultations to evaluate potential employment law claims
  • Manage high-volume client intake efficiently and professionally, ensuring thorough case evaluations
  • Implement and refine intake procedures to improve client onboarding experiences
  • Collaborate with attorneys to deliver detailed initial case assessments and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • File complaints/pleadings, motions, and related documents with state civil rights departments, the EEOC, and federal and state courts
  • Ensure that all deadlines are docketed/calendared accurately
  • Foster strong client and co-counsel relationships through clear, empathetic, and professional communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent legal education preferred
  • Paralegal certification strongly preferred
