Join our team as a fully remote Family Law Paralegal! We are looking for a dependable and experienced professional to support our legal practice focused on divorce, custody, child support, and related filings. You will work independently, communicate effectively with clients, and assist the attorney with case preparation and document drafting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small, focused legal team. The position requires 3+ years of family law paralegal experience and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with California law and AI tools is a plus.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, including experience in family law (divorce, custody, child support, etc.) is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Willing to follow the attorney’s preferred formatting and document style
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM PST (remote)

Responsibilities

• Draft and format legal documents for family law matters (divorce, custody, child support, etc.)
• Prepare and manage filings for California courts
• Communicate directly with clients in a clear, professional, and empathetic manner
• Track deadlines and proactively manage follow-ups on open case tasks
• Format documents using Microsoft Word, following provided templates
• Organize and manage digital documents using Adobe Acrobat and internal systems
• Conduct basic legal research as needed
• Collaborate with the attorney and adjust to feedback and preferences
• Assist with general paralegal tasks and administrative support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with California law is a plus
• Familiarity with AI tools is a preferred
• Strong personality: confident, firm, and professional in handling sensitive client interactions
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
