Summary

As a Paralegal (Legal Assistant), you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth case management and exceptional client service. You will work closely with attorneys and paralegals, handling clerical, organizational, and project-related tasks, ensuring seamless preparation and filing of immigration-related applications. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in law or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience in a law firm setting)
- 1-3 years of experience in a law firm setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Customer-service orientation with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and CRM tools like Salesforce
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain digital client files, adhering to organizational standards
- Organize electronic document storage and ensure proper naming and maintenance of files
- Remove duplicates and outdated templates from client files
- Gather, organize, and verify client documents for case preparation
- Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates on their cases
- Draft client communications, including approval and congratulatory letters
- Draft and complete government forms, questionnaires, and petitions related to immigration cases
- Assemble exhibit lists and ensure accuracy in document submissions
- Maintain and update client profiles in Salesforce and other database systems
- Record client communications and update case notes consistently
- Submit requests for translation and educational evaluations
- Coordinate with clients and team members to determine daily and weekly goals
- Stay updated on immigration law developments and ensure all procedures adhere to current standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in immigration law
- Familiarity with document management software and multi-line telephone systems
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and delegate tasks effectively
