Summary
Join Upstream Rehabilitation as a Patient Account Specialist! Handle inbound patient calls, addressing billing inquiries and payment arrangements in a fast-paced call center setting. You'll need exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to navigate various patient needs and maintain a positive experience. This role supports the company's mission and values. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Exceptional communication skills β oral, written and presentations
- Active Listening, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
- Ability to solve problems in a timely manner
- Must be self-motivated to stay on task and be available for routine check ins
- Must have quiet, HIPAA compliant area with no distractions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound calls from patients to assist in answering their billing questions in a call center environment
- Send issues to the AR Team
- Take payments and setting payment plans
- Communicate effectively to resolve billing issues
- Build rapport by being courteous and friendly
- Maintain professional and respectful relationships by presenting Business Office, clinic, physician, etc. in a positive light
- Refer all difficult calls/situations to team lead/manager
- Review accounts with outstanding balances or incorrect balances; must be able to multi-task and problem solve in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Call Center experience and/or medical billing experience
- Experience in healthcare industry
