Summary

Join Honest Health as a Payer Account Manager and manage partnerships with health plans to optimize outcomes. Leverage your experience in payer account management and value-based care to ensure the success of payer partnerships. Serve as the internal subject matter expert on payer contract terms, develop long-range payer partner strategies, and monitor partnership success. Collaborate with internal teams and payer partners to drive improvements in growth, customer experience, and operational performance. Develop systems for advancing payer partnerships and balance empathy, advocacy, and results-driven collaboration. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably in payer account management or value-based care operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field required; Master’s degree in healthcare administration or business administration or graduate degree in business or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with demonstrated success in a payer account manager role or payer value-based care operations role
  • Deep expertise in value-based care strategy and payer operations (e.g., Medicare Advantage) and pillars (e.g., medical management, Stars, clinical documentation, etc.)
  • Ability to manage expectations across multiple stakeholders, continually reinforcing the necessary blueprints and change management techniques to realize the true efficiency and effectiveness of value-based models, including global/full-risk arrangements
  • Ability to proactively develop high-quality materials, work on concrete deadlines, and deliver results independently
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Dynamics)
  • Demonstrated past ability to lead and/or influence a team to successful execution of strategic priorities in a matrixed environment
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ground-up, business build with a strong bias for action

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of payer management strategies and direct ongoing activities
  • Partner closely with Honest’s payer contracting, implementation, operations, information technology, quality, and other teams to ensure ongoing execution of the market strategy
  • Monitor and manage the ongoing success of payer partnerships, including
  • Serving as the internal and external subject matter expert on payer contract terms, once fully negotiated and executed, including responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners as well as escalating concerns when contract terms are not followed
  • Establishing, preparing for, leading, and documenting communication cadences between Honest and payers (e.g., joint operating committee meetings)
  • Identifying, documenting, resolving, and escalating issues through cross-functional collaboration
  • Preparing and distributing reports to payers that reflect the value Honest Health delivers to each partnership
  • Designing, administering, and reporting out experience surveys to key stakeholders
  • Staying up-to-date on payer industry trends and implementing best practices
  • Develop systems for advancing payer partnerships to meet the ongoing needs of Honest and its provider partners
  • Balance empathy, advocacy, and ability to drive results by being an effective collaborator with our payer partners
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed
