Summary

Join Plaid's finance team as a key member managing payroll operations and stock administration. You will ensure accurate and timely employee payments while complying with all relevant laws. This role involves managing semi-monthly payroll for a US and international workforce, administering stock plans, supporting payroll accounting tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional partners. You will also identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multi-state and international payroll processing, a strong understanding of payroll tax laws, and experience with various payroll and stock administration systems. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-state and international payroll processing
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax laws across all 50 states and the ability to research when needed
  • Experience with Workday, ADP SmartCompliance, or similar payroll systems
  • Familiarity with payroll accounting and month-end close processes
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with stock administration, including RSUs and stock options

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state payroll and support international payrolls using Workday and ADP WorkforceNow
  • Administer equity plans using Morgan Stanley Shareworks, including managing grants, tax compliance, and employee inquiries
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Finance to track changes in pay, LOAs, and equity transactions
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including researching and addressing tax issues
  • Support payroll accounting tasks in NetSuite, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audit requests
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll and stock administration efficiency
  • Handle sensitive employee data with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with stock administration, including RSUs and stock options
  • Experience with NetSuite and Morgan Stanley Shareworks
