Requirements

  • Understand relevant legislation and if applicable, award expectations, Associated taxation and superannuation legislation compliance requirements and conditions of employment
  • Understanding of the core principles of payroll end to end processes
  • Understanding of company business requirements
  • Knowledge of various payroll software/methodologies
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively administering payroll
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant employment and if applicable, award interpretation
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey information across various levels

Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll for Datacom employees on the agreed basis, accurately and within a timely manner
  • Updating payroll information
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and managing enquiries
  • Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
  • Supporting with the preparation of standard and ad hoc reports
  • Resolving payment errors in a timely manner
  • Providing accurate and timely advice to management and staff, and are kept up to date with legislation, policy and system changes
