Join Boomi as the Head of Global Payroll and lead end-to-end payroll operations across the Americas, EMEA, and APJ. This role ensures global compliance, optimizes systems and processes, and develops a high-performing team. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT, supporting business growth and meeting regulatory standards. Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with labor laws and tax regulations, and manage payroll audits. Lead payroll systems implementation and optimization, develop policies and procedures, and manage a global payroll team. Advise leadership on payroll matters, including compliance, process improvements, and cost management. The position offers a competitive salary and is remote-friendly.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing global payroll service provider relationships, including 3+ years in a multi-country payroll leadership role
- Prior experience leading a geographically dispersed payroll team within a global company
- Proven success implementing and scaling payroll systems in a multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of global payroll compliance, particularly in the U.S. and EMEA, including statutory deductions, tax rates, and benefits regulations
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Deep understanding of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll platforms
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner across geographies and functions
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and confidentiality best practices
- Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets, for payroll data analysis and reporting
Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing across all global regions
- Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security, and other statutory requirements
- Monitor changes in global payroll regulations and update internal practices as needed
- Manage payroll audits and serve as the point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities
- Ensure equity compensation is processed and reported accurately and in compliance with tax requirements
- Lead the implementation, optimization, and integration of payroll systems and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity
- Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistency and compliance
- Define and track KPIs and SLAs to monitor payroll performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Manage and develop a team of global payroll professionals, providing feedback, coaching, and performance support
- Mentor team members to strengthen skills and support long-term career growth
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to align payroll processes with broader organizational goals
- Advise leadership on payroll-related matters, including compliance, process improvements, and cost management
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
Benefits
- This position is remote-friendly
- The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $149,000 - $222,000 annually + applicable bonus
