Requirements
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience with payroll systems, including proficiency in Paylocity, and familiarity with additional payroll platforms
- Extensive experience managing benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and disability benefits, with a strong track record in compliance and auditing
- Proficient in Mac, G Suite, and Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional attention to detail, customer service skills, and strong communication abilities (both written and verbal)
- Proven judgment and decision-making skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Skilled in interpreting and communicating complex instructions, working independently with discretion, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and fostering relationships with diverse professionals
Responsibilities
- Assist with the process of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for over 350 employees
- Manage state and local tax registrations, notices, and updates
- Handle payroll-related updates such as garnishments and 401(k) contributions
- Verify accuracy of hourly time cards and ensure proper data import for payroll processing
- Prepare and provide payroll information for annual audits
- Maintain current employee files and records accurately
- Process payroll changes, reconcile regular and supplemental payrolls, and address any discrepancies
- Support employee onboarding and off-boarding processes, including updates to HRIS platforms and other systems
- Maintain and update employee records through the employment lifecycle
- Provide administrative support to the HR team by drafting notices, maintaining spreadsheets, and preparing reports
Preferred Qualifications
In-depth understanding of state payroll laws and practical application in payroll processes

- Ensure compliance by updating required posters and administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and additional benefits
