Summary

Join Deel as a Payroll Implementation Specialist and oversee the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for our clients. You will assist with the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and proper system configuration for a seamless transition. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, guiding clients through setup and migration, and providing ongoing support and training. Manage project plans for global payroll rollouts, coordinate project reviews, and handle scope changes. Configure payroll systems, reports, and interfaces, and assist with client go-live transitions. Generate reports to analyze and reconcile payroll data, and serve as a secondary point of contact for clients. Support data migration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international laws, and assist with testing and change management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll implementation and payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across multiple countries
  • Experience with payroll systems and software
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing kickoff meetings and managing project plans for global payroll rollouts across multiple countries
  • Coordinate project review calls, manage project streams, and handle scope changes or schedule adjustments
  • Support client payroll process setup, including data requirements and payroll calendar management
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, status updates, and process documentation
  • Help configure payroll systems, reports, and interfaces for parallel payroll and the first two months of live payroll
  • Assist with client go-live transitions, ensuring sign-offs and validating project implementation
  • Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data, including GL report mapping when necessary
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, attending weekly calls and reporting on project status, risks, and actions
  • Support data migration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international tax and labor laws
  • Assist with testing and change management to ensure a smooth payroll transition for clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Client-facing project management experience preferred
  • Project management certification (e.g., CAPM) a plus
