Summary

Join Pepperstone as a Payroll Officer and play a vital role in accurately and promptly preparing and processing monthly payrolls within the EMEA region. You will support the Payroll Manager for the APAC region, ensure compliance with all tax and legal responsibilities, and collaborate with the Finance team and payroll vendors. This position also involves assisting the P&C team with general administration tasks. The role requires experience in payroll processing, particularly in the EMEA region, and strong attention to detail. Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role 2+ years
  • Experience processing Cyprus & other EMEA region payrolls
  • Experience working in medium to large businesses (min. 250 employees) and in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple demands
  • Strong customer focus and passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality even in busy times
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong proficiency in English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be available across time zones ad hoc
  • Strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to establish rapport quickly
  • Ability to be proactive, effectively solve problems and use good judgement

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process monthly payrolls for three EMEA countries including Cyprus, UK, Germany, Kenya, Dubai, Chile, and Hungary
  • Assist Payroll Manager with fortnightly Australian payroll
  • Process employee lifecycle changes (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments)
  • Resolve payroll queries and manage complex payroll issues
  • Conduct leave calculations and payroll reporting as needed
  • Perform periodical payroll tasks (month/year-end)
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors
  • Provide excellent customer service focusing on timeliness and accuracy
  • Build strong global relationships with team members
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Stay updated with relevant legislation and assist with interpretation
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of payroll processes
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as assigned by management
  • Support P&C team with general administration tasks
  • Assist Payroll Manager with ongoing payroll projects
