Summary

Join Figma's growing team as a Payroll Specialist and become a key contributor to our international payroll operations. You will process payrolls across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with regional tax regulations. Responsibilities include preparing payroll journal entries, collaborating with various teams, and supporting audits. This full-time role can be based in our UK Hub or remotely in the UK or Dublin. You will report to the Senior International Payroll Manager and play a vital role in maintaining accurate and timely payroll processing. Figma offers a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-cycle, multi-country payroll processing experience
  • Experience building relationships and communicating with stakeholders across all levels and functions
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries in partnership with third-party vendors and internal systems (e.g., Workday, Activ Payroll and BDO)
  • Strong knowledge of international statutory payroll requirements, tax laws, and compliance frameworks
  • Ensure payroll accuracy by auditing data inputs such as time tracking, leave of absence, benefits, and variable pay, as well as strong knowledge of international statutory payroll requirements, tax laws, and compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, review, and reconcile payroll data for international entities using Workday, ActivPayroll and BDO
  • Audit payroll data and ensure compliance with country-specific tax and social security regulations
  • Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions, ensuring alignment with accounting standards
  • Partner with the Accounting and Finance teams to provide insights on payroll-related variances and trends
  • Support local statutory audits and internal audits, as well as audits related to pensions, social contributions, and other regional obligations
  • Oversee timely and accurate submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports as required in each jurisdiction
  • Create and maintain comprehensive payroll operational process documentation
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc payroll reports to internal teams including Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Equity, tailored to international reporting requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing small to medium sized projects
  • Experience using Netsuite
  • Additional EMEA languages a plus
  • Experience at a high growth B2B SaaS company
  • Previous involvement in payroll transformation or system implementation projects
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and experience working in a public company environment
  • Working knowledge of equity compensation and how it affects payroll (e.g., RSUs, ESPPs)
